Will an apple a day really keeps the doctor away?
Thesis Statement: I’d like to convince all young citizens of the country that an apple a day does not literally keeps the doctor away.
I. Attention.
Did you know that there are no apple plantation in the Philippines?
We have all heard the saying at least a hundred times in the past, but is it true that an apple a day really help to keep the doctor away? Does eating an apple every day mean you'll never get sick? And is an apple really healthier than other fruits?

II. Need/ Problem.
a. A lot of our young citizens believed that only an apple a day will prevent them from getting any diseases.
b. Apple fruits are only imported in the Philippines.
c. Apple contains insignificant amount of nutrition that our body needs.
III. Satisfaction.
a. There are a lot of nutritious foods other than apple (e.g banana, pineapple, mango and guyabano).
b. Bananas are loaded with potassium, which is important for a healthy heart and proper muscle function.
c. Pineapples is a tropical fruit, it contains a proteolytic enzyme bromelain which helps in the digestion of protein. Pineapple can prevent blood clot formation because of its bromelain content.
d. Mango fruit is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds.
e. Guyabano is an excellent source of vitamin C, a nutrient which increases the acidity level of urine, resulting in decreased number of harmful bacteria that may be present in the urinary tract.

IV. Visualization.
a. Being dependent on the nutrition you can get from apple can lead to serious illnesses.
b. If you will not rely on the apple, you can satisfy all the nutrition that your body needs.
c. It is one way to patronize the Philippines pride fruits (e.g banana, pineapple and mango).
V. Action.
a. Post tarpaulins, poster and distribute pamphlets in order to spread the facts about what nutritious foods should an individual take.
b. Campaign for eating the fruits in the Philippines rather than imported fruits.
VI. Conclusion.
Thus, only apple a day will not keeps the doctor away. If we all eat the necessary fruits needed that our body want, it may prevent from getting such serious illnesses.
