Not For Sale: End Human Trafficking

Are you all aware that again, one of our fellow Filipino has been executed in China? That’s Human Trafficking. You will be killed.

A lot of stories and news regarding the issue on human trafficking were being broadcast from all over the newspapers, tabloids, articles and even magazines. With that, I was inspired to conduct a research on how it is being done, who were the victims and how can it be solve. That is why, in my upcoming informative speech, I’d like to discuss together with my fellow Filipinos the responsibilities/ roles of the government to address the issue of Human Trafficking.
Since there are various job opportunities abroad, the people preferred to work overseas due to the fact that the salary is much higher. However, a lot of them were at the welfare case wherein it includes maltreatment, physical abuse, rape, sexual abuse and others. The research will serve as a symbol of hope for those people who are planning to work abroad or who were already working overseas. Moreover, it will help the people in terms of their protection while working. Also, this research will awaken the minds of every Filipino in the reality of life inside and outside the country.

My audience will be consisting of Filipinos who have families working abroad or those people who have a care for the safety of others. This research will help them to know the responsibilities of the government when they are outside the boundary of the country. They will know what their limitations are and their expected protection in the government.

The first part of my informative speech will be the introduction which includes the definition of Human Trafficking, the three elements of Human Trafficking (purpose, act and means) and the two main types of Human Trafficking (sex and labour). The second part will be the responsibilities and roles of the government on the issue. Next will be the implemented laws and actions of the government to stop Human Trafficking.
